The renewed Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask is a soothing and nourishing sleeping mask, especially for dry and sensitive skin that often suffers from redness and dryness in the mornings.

The night mask containing Centella extract helps the skin protect itself from moisture evaporation, while soothing irritated skin at the same time. The skin recovers more effectively during the night, which results in a well-hydrated and radiant complexion in the morning.

• A night mask is applied to the face in the evenings as the last step of the skincare routine instead of moisturizer or, if desired, thinly over it. Always test new products on a small area of skin to ensure their suitability for your skin, especially if your skin is sensitive. Apply a small amount, for example to the neck, and wait 24-48 hours to detect any possible skin reactions.

If skin irritation such as redness, swelling, or itching occurs after use or exposure to sunlight, discontinue use and consult a doctor if necessary. Do not use on broken skin. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with eyes. Rinse thoroughly with water if the product gets into the eyes.

Centella's antioxidants calm the irritated by relieving inflammation and reducing redness. It also improves and regenerates the skin and supports collagen production. In addition, centella brightens and evens out the skin tone, helps the skin retain moisture and reduces the visibility of scars.

Centella can have many different names depending on which part of the plant has been used, or what kind of extracts and oils have been made from it; eg Centella Asiatica Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract and Centella Asiatica Root Extract. In many cultures, including Korea, centella is also known as Tiger grass or Tiger herb. The name comes from the legend that wounded tigers would seek out wild centella and rub themselves on the plant's leaves to heal.
